NAMM Foundation Distributes First Wildfire Relief Funds
On January 23 at The 2025 NAMM Show, The NAMM Foundation made the first disbursement from its L.A. Wildfires Relief Fund to Outreach Through the Arts. The nonprofit music education program, founded by Lana Negrete, received $10,000 from the recently established fund.
Negrete, the mayor of Santa Monica and owner of Santa Monica Music Center, has been a champion for music education in her community. This disbursement will support music students by providing lessons, replacing damaged and destroyed instruments and will enable her community to revitalize music programs that were lost to the Palisades fire.
The L.A. Wildfires Relief Fund started with a seed investment of $50,000 from The NAMM Foundation and raised an additional $55,000 through the generosity of NAMM members and private donations.
As The NAMM Foundation distributes funds, the Foundation will keep you informed of our impact on the affected communities and programs.
