PRS DGT Semi-Hollow Limited Edition

PRS DGT Semi-Hollow Limited Edition

PRS Guitars has announced the DGT Semi-Hollow Limited Edition. Hand signed by Paul Reed Smith on the front of the headstock and by David Grissom on the guitar’s backplate, only 200 pieces will be available worldwide.

“The limited run Semi Hollow DGT is based on a guitar I special ordered a few years back. The limited edition features moon inlays and a McCarty Sunburst finish. The semi-hollow design has a bit warmer top end and a little less bottom than the solid body, making it a super versatile companion to my stock DGTs.” – David Grissom

David Grissom’s signature model, the PRS DGT, is the result of a decade’s-long relationship between the Texas-based guitar player and Paul Reed Smith. With its roots in the PRS McCarty guitar, the DGT features a mahogany back and neck with maple top, 22 frets, and 25” scale length.

Grissom personalized his signature model with his own pickups and neck shape as well as a tremolo bridge and moon inlay option. The DGT also features two volume controls, so the treble and bass humbuckers can be individually set and manipulated for more controlled tone. This limited edition adds a semi-hollow body for increased resonance and lively tone and is offered in a McCarty Sunburst nitro finish.

The PRS DGT has long been a player’s guitar, and this semi-hollow limited edition offers a variation that is a welcome addition to any arsenal.
